Hiring: Community Co-Researcher

AFSC-AZ is hiring a Community Co-Researcher for the Reimagining Community Safety Research Project. This project will survey Tucson communities on what constitutes safety in their neighborhoods. We will work with leaders from Wards 1, 3, and 5 to collect data on what residents define as “safety” and what investments would materially improve residents’ safety and wellbeing.

Stop giving ADCRR more money!

Budget negotiations have begun at the state capitol, and the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry (ADCRR) is requesting $1.3 billion for 2022. This is in spite of the fact that the prison population is currently at the lowest level in over a decade. We are calling for an immediate cap on ADCRR spending (no increase over 2021).
